Somewhere in a suburb / Algures num subúrbio

Some quiet suburb, where rapacious and unruled urbanization seems to have not arrived yet - it's just a matter of time - and where there is still a typical mix of old homes with some urban feature with farms and other vestiges of a much more rural time, as may just be what looks like an old cellar in front of which two old men enjoy the quiet and cool shade provided by the vine branch. Better do so: The leaves have started to change their color, and it is possible that within a couple of months all of them will be on the floor.

Paulo, After looking through pages and pages of your paintings I am blown away. What gorgeous statements of time and place. You make me want to enlarge them to peer longer at all the surprise details you add. I also like seeing the sketch and then the finished work. What is your process for building your work after the sketch?

So happy you liked, Loriann.
Usually I re-draw the scene in a transparent paper over the sketch and then transfer it into the watercolor paper, then re-draw again with a sharp pencil to enhance the lines.
You can read a detailed explanation in a post I made about this:

Also you can see a step-by-step demo in the painting stage:

Wish a great day and plenty of inspiration: Your art is simply beautiful!
