Duas casas de aldeia - Sessão 1 (Início) / Two rustic cottages - Session 1 (Beginning)

One month after the conclusion of “The green door”, a new “realist” watercolor project starts shaping up. Longer than desired, this interregnum was especially due to lack of time, sometimes seeming to look like a conspiracy, but also to the difficult choice of the next subject. I even wrote then that it was practically chosen, but a recent Sunday trip to some beloved places I didn't visit for long has established new priorities.

So we have two old adjoining rustic cottages, almost looking like a single one, in the typical architecture of the mountain villages in Alto Minho, definitely my country's favorite region. As usual in these beautiful places, the small square in which they're located is covered by a refreshing vine. Along with it and its complex sustaining structure, the abundance of surfaces, textures and other vegetal elements makes this work a bigger challenge than the previous one. Let's see how it will come out... The first structural traces are auspicious.
