A curve in the road / Uma curva na estrada

Such a curve in the road had to be inspired in Minho, being the kind of spots that are for me the most pleasant to find in that always green province in the north-western Portugal. Add an elegant 19th century house with its farm and windmill to the bright colors and light that are typical of that region, and the joy will be complete!

Beautiful composition. I especially like the "solar" and the cobbled street. Not to mention the purple bouganvilea there.
Bom Domingo.

This is delightful, as are all your watercolors. A wonderful composition. I am so happy to have discovered your blog.

Very nice- reminds me a little of the hillside I was drawing on the other day, just much warmer climate- boy, I get homesick for warmer weather at times!

Villager, those elements are some of my favourites in a landscape. I can't resist to take a picture everytime I find them together in the "real world"...

Mineke, this is a happy coincidence, as I also found your blog recently, and I am delighted with your work, having become an admirer and regular visitor since.

Rob, I understand your feeling very well: This kind of sunny landscapes always make me cheer up so much, but I believe you may consider yourself an happy person, as you seem to live in the middle of places that look wonderfully scenic, even if climate isn't so generous.

A happy Sunday to all!
