Some days are really wet / Há dias mesmo molhados

Some days are really wet ... And not because it rains tempestuously. She falls, instead, slowly, insistently, until it seems that nothing in the world is dry. Fortunately there are some nice stone cottages like this, small, but for that same reason radiating comfort and warmth. If I were that boy, this would be sufficient excuse to invent a cold in order to subtract myself to a damp day of school. Now that I'm more like a big boy, do not need to invent anything, because the so-called cold arrived yesterday and is still here to last.

I love the rainy day, and the way you somehow captured the mood of that kind of day so perfectly. How did you change the colors from your usual sunny day scenes? I know the colors are different, but I can't figure out how.

Hi, Katherine,
Rainy days can be extremely beautiful, they have a special atmosphere: I started with the sky as usual, with a wash in the lighter gray you can see in the clouds, and painted the mountain, the road and all other wet areas, as the roof or the wall tops, with that same wash. All the rest was then done over that underpainting.
