On weekdays, small country towns and cities seem bustling with movement, with the people from there and the people of neighboring villages who move there in a variety of tasks. And yet there seems to be a time, more for the afternoon, when everything settles down, and even the most spacious of the squares is suddenly empty ... Or almost. The person we see on the steps may have been the most recently served in the "wine chemist" at the corner and, perhaps for that reason, managed to find enough talent to sit in the only place where an orange risk to fall in his head.
Em dias da semana, as pequenas vilas e cidades do interior parecem fervilhar de movimento, com as gentes de lá mais as gentes das freguesias limítrofes que ali se deslocam nos mais diversos afazeres. Parece haver contudo uma hora, lá mais para a tarde, em que tudo se acalma, e até o mais espaçoso dos largos se encontra de repente vazio... Ou quase. O indivíduo que vemos nos degraus poderá ter sido o mais recentemente aviado na “farmácia vinícola” da esquina e, talvez por isso mesmo, conseguiu arranjar talento suficiente para se sentar no único sítio onde se arrisca a levar com uma laranja na cabeça.

Fabulous, Paulo. Looking closer, I see even the extremely detailed shadows of the railing on the upstairs walkway. This is amazing for an 18x12 cm postcard painting.

Rafael, sofro do mesmo mal desde há alguns meses para cá... Sem saídas torna-se mais difícil arranjar ideias e estas são por vezes arrancadas a ferros... Espero que no próximo ano ambos possamos ultrapassar a situação :))
