Landscape, house and train / Paisagem, casa e comboio

Glorious golden days of the narrow gauge railways! Quietly meandering around the hills, stopping at villages, almost asking permission to cross a road, almost nothing remains of those railroads stopped in time, but for decades providing a valuable service to a local people easily forgotten by decision makers of little humanity that, in their comfortable offices of the major cities, ruin everything with a simple signature. But these are stories for other discussions... Here we limit ourselves to celebrate, in an imaginary way and with the company of other landscape/architectural “props”, what is left from a handful of unforgettable memories.

Wonderful painting. I also remember and miss the days of steam. I am still in love with trains and railroad terminals. I enjoy your work.

Thanks, Terry. Steam trains are also part of my greatest memories, and can't resist to paint one from time to time. I think everyone who had contact with those beautiful machines so full of "life" will hardly forget them.
