Tinha em mente desenhar algum dos altares laterais ou então ou o coro alto, apanhando também o belo orgão de tubos, mas tanto num caso como noutro concluí que não havia luz suficiente. Assim, para evitar forçar demasiado os olhos, não me restou senão a clássica vista do transepto e capela-mor, onde um magnífico sol da tarde irrompia através das aberturas laterais num belo efeito de luminosidade que não consegui de todo captar.
I had in mind to sketch some of the side altars or the upper choir, catching also the beautiful pipe organ, but concluded that there wasn't enough light for both. And so, to avoid overstraining my sight, had no other choice than the classic view of the transept and presbytery, where a magnificent afternoon sunlight was breaking out from the side openings, in a beautiful lightness effect I absolutely failed to capture.
