Friday sketches / Esboços à Sexta - 20

More and more sketches have been coming up in the latest days... There is a tendency to have more sketches than time to turn them into paintings but I don't see a problem on that, since they are a true enjoyment themselves as well as a good drawing practice. I've been even considering dropping this thing of publishing sketches on Fridays only and post them whenever there is a good batch. Between discipline or freedom, haven't made a decision yet: A blog can be like a bush or small tree, you can shape it according to your desire or simply let it grow free. I've been feeling more “Nature” than “topiary” these days, but would like to hear your thoughts about it.

I love your sketches, and it is so fun to see them before you turn them into paintings. I'm looking forward to seeing the cat under the shade of the windmill!
Thank you also for the follow Friday tweet!

Thanks, Christy: That is one I'm looking forward to paint, too.
I really envy that cat :))
Have a great weekend!

Your sketches are stand alone works of art...the color adds so much but there is a clarity and bareness when I see just black & white!

I have that same feeling, Suzanne. It is possible that many of them will remain just like that, and that's very Ok to me, as nothing can steal the joy of making and sharing them :)

I agree with one comment that your sketches are "stand alone." Paulo I always look forward to what ever you have on your blog. I do enjoy looking at the sketches and then seeing them come more to life with color added. Hey, it's your blog and I'm sure whatever you decide will still be a good thing. Have a great weekend.

Gloria and Elizabeth, you meet my own thougths: This is a place of freedom and self-expression, and especially the word "freedom" comes across my mind all time. So more sketches to come soon, out-of-Friday ones :))
