Uncertain weather / Tempo incerto

I've been doing some small-detailed works recentely, so this time I wanted to refresh myself painting something looser, quicker and simpler with wider horizons, but actually I got so involved with the light and shadow game of this mountain scene, that it took me more time than usual, but also became one of my favorites.

The shadows on the mountains and the curve on that cat's tail while she's looking at the shadows are my favorites!

The cat must be wondering if it is a good time to go for a stroll in his wide yet temporarily wet territory :)
I started this painting in a day with a similar weather, after looking at a distant mountain background, and maybe coming back to such theme.

The more I look at your paintings, the more I am reminded of Van Gogh. There is similarity there and I love it. I like the way the woman is busy outside tending to household duties. I'm try to figure out if she is washing clothes or cooking. Very beautiful. Thank you.

Thank you, Gloria... The woman outside is maybe hanging her laundry that was washed in some public tank in the village, but these balconies were and still are used for a wide variety of works, including cooking or even repair some agricultural tools.

Yes! One of my favorites too. The background is sensational.

Thank you, Rob: I was a little bit afraid in the beginning, but now very happy with the result. French Ultramarine blue works great!!!
