Too much wine / Vinho a mais

It is quite common the image of the drunken man singing or speaking alone while staggering the way home, after a few glasses of wine in the tavern he visits daily ... Sometimes the most picturesque of these characters are the subject of some mockery, especially in smaller places where everyone is familiar, but behind their behavior there is always a story, not always a happy one.

This one made me chuckle. The ladies on the wall watching carefully. The dog barking and the man oblivious to all the commotion he's started. Paulo, I don't see a family in the windows above the ladies do I? Oh, and beautiful sunset.

Great painting, Paulo! My grandparents lived on a street where all the houses looked alike. One night my grandfather came home drunk, and ended up walking in the wrong house and fell asleep on his neighbors sofa:)

There is indeed a family just starting the dinner, Sheila. The background music provided by the drunken man maybe doesn't distract them no more, as it happens everyday at the same time :-)

Nancy, you made me have a good laugh with your grandfather's episode. I can't but just imagine the neighbour's face at the morning when coming into the room :-)

I enjoy looking at your work! I lived in a rural village in New Mexico for many years and your paintings and stories take me right back there.

Thanks for your compliment on my shop, you made my day.

Much success to you,
Julie

Julie, I'm so glad that my work could bring you some nice recollections from the past. I always put some of my own memories on it, too.
I truly admire your beautiful jewelry and I'm very thankful for the feature on your blog: You also made my day!

Best regards,
Paulo

Hello and thanks, Benjamin: I would say that the poor man will have a huge hangover the next day, but I think he already doesn't notice...
