The trolley scene is perfect but I'm partial to railroad images anyway. The gardens strike me as to how full of life small spaces can be. In the states, people of means (certainly not me) have to display themselves with ostentatious monster homes bulging with fatness and always quasi-colonial in architecture.
We see those monster houses here too, Stephen, often with tasteless gardens over a boring surface of lawn, as inexpressive as the houses themselves: I prefer those humble small worlds where people make the most of their tiny spaces, and you can see they put love on it.
