Looking at the fishes / A olhar para os peixes

I have special fondness for old houses at the waterfront and the one we see here was inspired by some real examples: A delicious blend of porches, additions, and corners in a variety of techniques and materials: Granite, wood, whitewashed nogging or coated with metal sheet, everything seeming to want to rush into the water despite its proven strength ... Part of the charm of vernacular architecture, the most beautiful and human of all architectures, has to do with what we are also should defend and appreciate in Nature: Diversity.

Another excellent watercolor!
I do like, as always, the colors and shadows (and also the cat that is always present :-)
I agree entirely with your post. I don't know if the part of the house on the wooden stakes was there before the bridge's construction :-), but certainly it belongs now to the landscape, that your watercolor so well illustrates.
Greetings

It's very likely that the bridge is older than that part of the house, but the truth is that both stand together in harmony...
Hugs!
