A world of granite / Um mundo de granito
Stone houses lining cobbled streets - when they're such paved, or paved at all - also in this material, not to mention the huge blocks that sometimes compose the surrounding landscape ... This is certainly an image familiar to those who know certain areas of the northern and central Portugal, and some villages there... On Alto Minho or in Barroso for example, but also in the Beira Alta, particularly at certain historical villages for which I must confess the unpardonable sin of not being yet acquainted to them. That same sin that today's work, the result of some space that despite everything they take in my ignorant imaginarium, seeks to atone for a tiny part...

There is a very big stone on the
ReplyDeletehouse!! Is that very old stone
house? Maybe in the summer is
cool and warm in winter time?
I like cat in the window!
Nice weekend,
C
These houses are quite fresh in Summer but pretty cool in the Winter, because there isn't so much sun to heat the stone... That is a big stone behind the houses, but some bigger ones can be found. I saw one about the size of a 3-storey building.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!!
3 story building sone!!
ReplyDeleteThey made house inside or under the
stone. maybe very natural.
C
They actually didn't make any house... Just the stone was as big as a 3 storey building :))
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
