Backyards, courtyards, patios: They can be found in the most remote villages as well as in the city surroundings still with rural touches, as appears to be the case of the picture. Or even within its limits, hiding behind an old facade, the pedestrians unaware of the presence of these worlds of vegetables, pots, irrigation tanks, fruit trees, the inevitable vines on the trellis, the wandering animals... We keep coming back to them, so one might almost say it is always the same thing, but in reality it isn't so: Almost all are prior to formatted housing, so none is equal to another.
Quintais, quinteiros, pátios: Tanto os podemos encontrar na mais remota das aldeias como nos arredores ainda com pinceladas rurais de uma qualquer cidade, como aparenta ser o caso da imagem. Ou até dentro dos limites desta, escondidos atrás de uma velha fachada, sem que o transeunte suspeite da presença de tais mundos de hortaliça, vasos, tanques de rega, árvores de fruto, as inevitáveis vinhas em latada, os animais que deambulam, enfim... Estamos sempre a voltar a eles, pelo que quase se poderia dizer que é sempre a mesma coisa, mas na realidade não é assim: Quase todos são anteriores à habitação formatada, pelo que nenhum é igual a outro.
